Girls: After beating the Ganado Lady Hornets at the Ganado Pavilion on Jan. 10, the Tuba City Lady Warriors played 3A conference foe Monument Valley on Tuesday, Jan. 13. The Lady Mustangs started out with an 11-6 first quarter lead and stayed in front the rest of the game, eventually pulling away toward the end of the game and winning with a final score of 40-27. The Lady Mustangs conference record improved to 2-0 and the Lady Warriors are 2-2.

Boys: After losing a heartbreaker to the Ganado Hornets on a last second shot, the Warriors took on Monument Valley on their home court. First quarter action started with them using their full court pressure defense, which got to the Mustangs. They applied pressure during the second quarter and led at the half, 32-20. At the start of the fourth quarter, the Mustangs tied the score 42-42. From there the game was close until the Warriors pulled out a win with a final score of 49 to 46. The Warriors are 1-3 in conference standing.
