TUBA CITY, Ariz. - Choice NTUA Wireless celebrated the grand opening of its retail location in Tuba City July 25. In addition to the Tuba City location other outlets also opened across the Navajo reservation.

Choice/NTUA Wireless is a Navajo owned company that offers cell phone, Internet and home phone service. Internet service is available in remote places on the reservation with the equipment provided by Choice, according to General Manager Clyde Casciato.

"The plans are very competitive to make it affordable to many individuals on the reservation," Casciato said.

Choice offers low income calling plans, like the Tribal Lifeline program that allows customers to get a free phone or $10 dollars off a smartphone with unlimited calling and texting. Low income plans are available with proof of assistance from state organizations such as Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Federal Public Housing, Temporary Assitance for Needy Families and other entities. During the grand opening rooms full of applicants signed up for phones.
