Job search help available now

Job search help for Native Americans is available at the Prescott field office of the Phoenix Indian Center's Native Workforce Services Program. A workforce specialist will work one-on-one with individuals to develop resumes and prepare for interviews.

Lenten Parish Mission in Tuba City

The parishioners of St. Jude Parish in Tuba City extend a welcome to anyone wishing to join them in their Lenton Parish Mission the week of March 31 featuring Sister Clissene Lewis, LSC.

Sister Clissene is from the Ft. McDowell Indian Community, home to the Yavapai people. She is forming her own religious community of women who are dedicated to serving the needs of Native American brothers and sisters in Indian country.

The topic of the mission is: The Beatitudes of Jesus and the Wisdom of Black Elk. The mission presentation will take place each weekday evening beginning at 7 p.m. March 31 through April 4.

Basketball tourney April 4-6

A co-ed youth basketball tournament will take place April 4-6 at the Hopi Veterans Memorial Center in Kykotsmovi (Arizona Highway 264, mile post 375.5).

The tourney features a 6 year old and younger bracket, 7-9 year old bracket and 10-12 year old bracket.

Proof of age is required along with a $125 entry fee for each category. A $65 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a spot on the brackets.
