Audition for Beauty Lou and the Country Beast Monday

HOLBROOK, Ariz. - An audition will be held for the Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) production of Beauty Lou and the Country Beast on Monday from 3:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Those auditioning should arrive at 3:35 p.m. and plan to stay for the full two hours. Most of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

Among the roles to be cast are Beauty Lou, Imaginary Friend, Beast, Dusty and Slim the farmhands, Fleabite Clyde the dog, the Younger Daughters, the Older Daughters, the Country Folk and the Barnyard Critters. Students ages kindergarten through 12th grade, Holbrook Unified School District No. 3 and home-schooled, are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary, just come with a smile. Assistant directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

MCT touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. The MCT tour actor/directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 3:45 to 8:15 each day.

Beauty Lou and the Country Beast will be presented on Sept. 15 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the George Gardner Performing Arts Center, located on the Holbrook High School campus. The Missoula Children's Theatre residency in Holbrook is presented locally by the Holbrook Unified School District.
