WINSLOW, Ariz. - The Just Cruis'n Car Club of Winslow played host to a talent show at Route 66 Plaza Park in downtown Winslow from 7-10 p.m. June 29. A total of 27 people entered the contest and were mostly singers in the K-12 school age group. The top three contestants won $50, $100 and $200. Dr. and Mrs. Kay Ricks, Linda Card and Val Marcoute judged the event.

The club put on the show in conjunction with the Journey Stories events in Winslow. The Smithsonian Instuition and Arizona Humanities Council along with Winslow's Old Trails Museum is producing a six week historical series outlining U.S. migration from East to West. The exhibit ends Aug. 4.

Just Cruis'n Car Club puts on a car show in October each year, supports various local causes and displays their cars, augmenting local events throughout the year.

Cheyenne Balone came in first place. Page Murray placed second and Damien Fowler took third.
