WINSLOW, Ariz. - The Winslow Bulldogs started strong and cruised past the Window Rock Scouts 82-47 in Winslow Dec. 3.

The win is Winslow's second in as many games.Widow Rock's loss was the team's first game of the season.

The Bulldogs showed a great defense and fast break game at the start of each half and used a platoon system that used the full lineup to good advantage.

The Bulldogs started the game with an incredible scoring display putting 29 points on the board to just nine for Window Rock. The Scouts came back in the second period but still trailed 43-31 at the half. Winslow put together another high scoring spurt in the third quarter putting in 26 points and building a 69-38 lead.

Stevin Nelson led all scorers with 18 points for the Bulldogs. Milland Thomas with 12 points and Akkeem Foster with 10 points were also in double figures for Winslow, which had 13 players score.

Myron Wauneka led Window Rock with 14 points. Trent Long was also in double figures for the Scouts with 12 points.

The Bulldogs participated in the Scorpion Invitational Tournament in Sedona Dec. 5-7.
