Reginald Wade Dallas

Reginald Wade Dallas, 58, died on Friday, June 17, 2011. He was born Sept. 23, 1953 in Jeddito, Ariz.

He is the son of the late Joseph and Vera (Sequi) Dallas. His early childhood years were spent in Jeddito Valley, later made his home in Moenkopi. Reggie was self-employed, carving kachina dolls. He has been featured in magazines with other known carvers

Survivors include daughters BaTina Dallas of Phoenix, Shayla Dallas of Moenkopi and son Virgil Dallas. He also leaves behind Dallas grandchildren, Sumatzkuku grandchildren, Naha grandchildren and the Nelson grandchildren along with many friends and family members. He is preceded in death by wife Alta Honahni and sister Florina Dallas Kaye.

Traditional services were held at the Upper Village of Moenkopi on Saturday, June 18, 2011 with dinner served at the Administration Building. Burial was at the Upper Village Cemetery.

The family would like to thank all family members, members of the community, Governor's Office, Tuba City Health Care Center, Flagstaff Medical and Richard Lozano of Flagstaff Mortuary for the assistance and support in the peaceful journey of our beloved father, grandpa, brother and uncle.
