Navajo Council members support Bears Ears coalition in Washington
WASHINGTON - On July 6, Navajo Nation Speaker LoRenzo Bates, Council Delegate Davis Filfred, and Council Delegate Walter Phelps accompanied the Bears Ears Inter-Tribal Coalition delegation to meetings in Washington D.C. to continue petitioning the Obama administration to designate the Bears Ears area as a national monument.
