8/27/2013 10:24:00 AM Coconino County Fair kicks off Friday at Fort Tuthill in Flagstaff
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - With an anticipated 45,000 attendees, the 64th annual Coconino County Fair, which takes place Aug. 30-Sept. 2 at the Coconino County Fairgrounds at Fort Tuthill (exit 337 of I-17), is the largest event tradition in Northern Arizona over Labor Day weekend.
The fair will feature four days of live entertainment, livestock shows, carnival rides, traditional fair exhibits, interactive activities for kids and adults more than 100 food and commercial vendors.
Latino music legend Al Hurricane performs Aug. 30. English new-wave band A Flock of Seagulls takes the stage Aug. 31. Southern rock notables Atlanta Rhythm Section perform Sept. 1. American-country blues Reverend Peyton's Big Band will perform on Labor Day.
The fair features family friendly entertainment including comedy shows, circus acts, magicians, jugglers, stilt walkers and a ventriloquist.
Southwest storyteller and folk singer Tony Norris, Fushicho Daiko taiko (Japanese drumming), Sambatuque, Celtic Pipers, and a native American dance group will also perform during the fair.
